Grandma Mamie’s Corn Bread

Organic recipe for corn breadIn a large bowl mix

  • ¾ cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ cups (Early Morning Harvest milled) flour
  • 3 cups (Early Morning Harvest milled) cornmeal
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups butter milk

 

Preheat a 9X13 cake pan. Pour and spread mixture in the 9X 13 cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees until done (about 40 minutes)
